Self Help is the heart of Jin Shin Jyutsu as we know it today.
Applying ancient wisdom on himself, Jiro Murai was healed from a life threatening illness in 1912, in Japan. After that experience, he developed the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu to share with the world. His student, Mary Burmeister brought Jin Shin Jyutsu to America in the 1950’s and wrote a series of three self help books. Mary’s materials are the basis for the self help classes we offer.
Jin Shin Jyutsu engages one in self awareness, self understanding, and self help. Are you interested in learning simple, yet profoundly effective ways to be in balance on all levels of your being? Guided Jin Shin Jyutsu (Hands-On Self-Help Energy Harmonizing)

Clear away physical, mental, and emotional imbalances and experience deep relaxation in this unique guided meditation-style class for the self help (self care) practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu. The calm and gentle voice of long-time Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner, Michelle Giambra guides you through a series of hands-on energy harmonizing exercises (from the Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help books by Mary Burmeister) that you apply to your own body. Michelle offers Guided Jin Shin Jyutsu to support clients and students in their self help practice and to give “newbies” the opportunity to experience the profound effects of this healing art. No previous experience is needed. Jin Shin Jyutsu may be practiced sitting, standing or lying down. Comfort is key. Yoga mats, blankets, pillows and chairs are provided, or bring your own.

Classes and meditations with Michelle Giambra are FUN, engaging, enlightening, and practical! Michelle’s enthusiasm for Jin Shin Jyutsu is infectious. Enjoy an intimate and individualized learning experience in a small group setting. Class material is presented in a relaxed atmosphere with Michelle sharing insight from her 22+ years of Jin Shin Jyutsu experience. You receive helpful handouts and plenty of hands-on energy harmonizing experience for your personal care. Registration and payment due dates are specified in each event listing. Unless otherwise noted, all events take place at Suncoast Jin Shin Jyutsu, 820 Central Avenue, Sarasota, FL.
